We’ve chosen to do church as simply as we can. We focus on ONE major topic a month "The BIG IDEA" with Sunday messages, Kids Fun-Church, coffee time questions, family lunch discussions, and Home Church all on the same subject each week. Our desire is that the repetition will allow a few issues to be addressed in your life each year in a life changing way (Mark 4:24).

Ministries we do outside of this format must be outwardly focused events that address felt needs of people in our city. We are not a church that runs programs like men's ministry, women's ministry, Bible Studies, alpha, ... all of these are great programs that help to spiritually educate people and do a lot of good, but they take us away from our unique vision to Simplify Life with our Big Idea for the month.

We feel that practical, life-changing learning is done by focusing on a specific topic over a period of time. It allows us the time to process it intellecutally, but also practically intigrate it into our everyday lives. We believe every person in the family, from three years of age and up, should be on the same page in terms of the lesson or concept taught every week (The Big Idea). This makes it much more realistic for families to discuss the messages they heard and gets the family united in their' spiritual learning experience. When you visit, you can expect that you and your child are both going to learn the same concept at different levels, and we know that once you experience this, you will never look back!

If you are headed to MACS and I am going to 7-11 we are not going to arrive at the same place. We at The Gathering are clear about where we're headed, so we'll arrive together.
