On January 1st, 2004, Federal Bill C-6, "Protection of Personal Information and Electronic Documents Act" (AKA "the Privacy Policy"), came into effect for not-for-profit and charitable organizations. This means that organizations need to be more stringent in the way they collect and handle personal information. Personal information refers to any home contact information such as home emails, addresses etc. Anything printed on business cards is not included in the privacy policy.

As a result of this legislation, all not-for-profit organizations and charitable organizations, have had to demonstrate that policies and procedures are in place for collecting and managing personal information. The Gathering has taken the necessary steps to ensure compliance with the legislation.

No one will have access to your contact information, or personal information that you provide to us on emails through this website other then those on The Gathering leadership team, as we do not share it with third parties.
