To
Build Genuine Relationships With Christ
We
believe, as Paul said, that we are daily being saved
(1Cor.1:18). Yes, the work was finished at the cross,
but for every one of us discipleship is a process. It
is a journey in our lives of discovering more about
who God is and how He wants us to live. We at ‘The
Gathering’ desire to pursue this deeper understanding
of how God works in our world, by fostering authentic
relationships where real spiritual growth can occur.
That is why we believe real church occurs in our homes
where people can engage the message and one another:
to question, think, and grow.
How
we will strive to build genuine relationships with Christ
... Challenging people on only one topic a week through
a variety of media: a coffee time before service with
2 discussion questions on your cup relating to the message;
deep meaningful worship; weekly Christ-centred teaching
during Sunday service; 3 weekly take-home questions
to discuss with family/friends over lunch; sermon notes
for personal times with God; and weekly ‘small
gatherings’ (home church) to go deeper on the
topic.
