Christianity is based on relationship: your relationship
with Christ and with other people. At ’The Gathering’,
we try to be ‘relational’ rather than religious
about our faith. For us, this is more about our overall
attitude and understanding of Jesus. As Christ-followers
we believe it is the person, mission, and teaching of
Jesus that unites us and not a particular set of religious
rules, regulations, or routines. In fact, God says that
if we can’t love one another, if we can’t
be in relationship with one another, how can we say
that we love Him or that we are even in relationship
with Him (1Jn.4:20)? In Christianity, everything rises
and falls on relationship. Our dream is to create a
place bursting with opportunity for people to take one
step closer to Christ and others each day.
