Genuine Relationships
With Christ

2 Corinthians 13:5 says “examine yourselves to see if your faith is really genuine. Test yourselves. If you cannot tell that Jesus Christ is among you, it means you have failed the test (NLT).”

We want people to know we’ve been with Jesus. We want to be people who are covered in dust of our Rabbi. The early disciples first saw Jesus as a Jewish Rabbi, as one they followed so closely to hear His every word that the dust kicked up with His sandals from the road actually covered them. The word Christian still means one who follows Christ.

That is why we encourage people to question, think, and grow because until we question things, we will not think about the answers, and without thinking about the real questions in life, no real growth occurs. We want to draw people into following Jesus in their every day lives. We want to enable people to take personal ownership of their faith journey in pursuing a deepening genuine relationship with Jesus.

How We Will Strive To Equip You To Build A Genuine Relationships With Christ …

Challenging people on only one topic a month (The Big Idea) with a particular focus each week through a variety of media: a coffee time before service with 2 discussion questions relating to the message; a deep meaningful time of song worship; video on the topic; weekly Christ-centred Bible teaching on that topic Sunday morning, followed by an open microphone question and answer period; 3 weekly take-home questions to discuss with family over lunch (because your children learned about the same subject); sermon notes for personal times with God (on occassion even a devotional or a book); weekly ‘smaller gatherings’ (home church) to discuss the message and help one another see life-change occur; and opportunities to use your gifts and following your calling both inside and outside of the church.
